Large scale, commercial farms are always taking short cuts to bring you your food. They use farming techniques that often lead to consumer recalls of their products. They choose the inferior varieties of produce they grow for durability, not flavor. They trim their hens beaks and raise them in tiny spaces under dubiously regulated labels like "cage-free". After all that, they ship their products in from far away places in truly unappetizing ways. When was the last time you had an egg that wasn't at least several weeks old? The bottom line is this: If you want fresh, quality produce you need to buy locally, from people who care.

Welcome to Chicoine Family Farms. We are a small family farm located in East Windsor specializing in free range hens, sheep and goats. We sell our farm fresh eggs and Connecticut River valley produce from early spring to early winter and run a Community Support Agriculture Program. We also accept WIC and Senior FMNP checks as certified vendors of the Connectiut Department of Agriculture nutrition program.
